About ten years ago, we investigated blood flow transport in a human left atrium as part of my Ph.D. Now, we are revisiting the same problem from a different perspective by predicting and personalizing tissue mechanics, with the ultimate goal of shedding light on the biomechanics of atrial complications, including fibrillation and stroke.
